Treat Yo Self!!!

The new Essentials by Ellen, designed by Julie Ebersole was just released, and we all knew they would knock our socks off, and they did!!! The first item in my basket was the Treat Yo Self die. How funny, and so Julie! Of course I had to have the Zipper Panel to go with it.

I saw some holographic paper at Michael's and KNEW I had to use it on this tag. My non-crafty friends & family will have no idea what I mean when I say die-cutting into the blue patterned DCWV cardstock required A LOT of itty bitty gluing! Isn't it so pretty, though?!? I think it might be the only one I do that way, lol! I cut the backing cardstock using the same die so I didn't have to measure, and also so the gift card can be accessed from the back. I saw the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 2 dies used as a bag topper on the PPP blog hop and loved the idea so I used it here as the tag topper (I rounded the corners). The ribbon was from my stash. Don't ya love it when something in your stash actually works! The pretties in front of the tag are Pretty Pink Posh sequins (also available at Ellen Hutson).

This Darice embossing folder works so well with the Treat Yo Self die! You can't really see how sparkly the specialty paper is. The glitter is very fine and is awesome irl. The stars are from the Home & Hearth Ellen Essentials by Julie. This one and the next are just the card fronts (don't have the gift cards to go in them yet). I used patterned paper as backing just on the smaller perforated panel. When I make this into a card I plan on making the gift card also accessible from the back. Silver confetti in the foreground is from Pretty Pink Posh.

This last card front was the easiest to put together. Patterned cardstock (from the first tag), silver cardstock for the diecut and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins were all I needed. The sequins remind me of some gifts I received as a child from Aunty Gail. Plain glossy white paper and lots of sequins; too pretty to open! I plan on making a stash of these card fronts with the zipper panel die using different patterned cardstock for all occasions.

I didn't mention how special the Essentials by Ellen packaging is. The dies and stamp sets come in a sturdy plastic envie, no need to re-package, and they're labeled! The dies are on a magnetic sheet, thank you!!! I like to tuck a die cut and the negative space cut in the back of the envelope. It's a handy guide for size and placement. Ellen and Julie you have outdone Yo Selves!!!

So delighted you stopped by!

Sheryl
