InKing Royalty Blog Hop: Balloons

Welcome to InKing Royalty's February Blog Hop! During this year's blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites - our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month's projects feature balloons, so you are in for a celebratory treat. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Incorporated balloons into this Valentine's Day card for Stan! I am enjoying the Detailed Hearts die so much that I'm using it again. One of my favorite things to do is emboss something I've die cut. The Dainty Diamonds embossing folder is subtle, but so pretty, the perfect background.

The Detailed Hearts and Balloons are triple cut and stacked for depth and strength. The sturdy stacked diecuts are easier to position on the card front as well! The silver thread is from my stash. I wrapped a short piece around the neck of the balloon and fastened to the back of the balloon. The bottom of the string is poked through the cardfront and fastened on the back. The top is taped behind the balloon. I love the Balloon Bouquet punch, but must remember it punches two balloons at once (one upside down), even though you have embossed three "love"s in a row, lol!

Stamps: A Touch of Ink
Dies: Detailed Hearts, Ornate Layers
Misc: Balloon Bouquet punch, Dainty Diamonds embossing folder

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you'll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, the incredible Julie DiMatteo at The Paper Pixie. There's lots of inspiration to be found in this group, please join us!

  2. There are a lot of things I love about this card. The embossed background gives it a sophisticated feel. I love the embossed "love" on your balloons, and it would not have occurred to me to do that - beautiful. And, I also like the triple cutting for dimension as well as for strength. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous card.
