I purchased the Pretty Pink Posh Summer of Stamping Summer Circles Combo exclusively from Ellen Hutson because it was irresistible! Can't wait to play with that set and dies. But first (like coffee) I reached for the Pretty Pink Posh Beach Scene.
The bits and pieces seemed daunting at first, but I do love puzzles and found the scene a lot of fun to assemble. I found the easiest way is to die cut it out of white cardstock first, then layer the frame on a blue circle about the same size as the frame. Die cut the separate elements with scraps of cardstock. I had a small piece of sandpaper for the sand. Added a bit of sponged ink to the inner circle of the sun, and to the top of the waves. The Pretty Pink Posh skinniest Simple Strips die was perfect for the striping on the surfboard (love it!). Start with gluing in the sand piece and work up. I used the white piece from the frame cut as a template to place the tree top and sun.
I love Everything's Beachy by Julie Ebersole! The sunbathing gal sold me, but lookie at the dude! He fits perfectly in the Beach Scene! Found some sandy looking scrapbook paper and finished the card with the hilarious "beach please" sentiment.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Brian! These bits were really fun to play with! It was most satisfying using up some little scraps too. :)
