I am participating in Brian King's 2021 Holiday One-for-One Card Swap. There are so many fabulous cards, today is day four!
The darker areas are Wink of Stella, so hard to photograph!
I'm so pleased a tutorial has been requested, so I'll provide measurements and instructions.
Start with an 11" x 1-1/2" piece of cardstock for your box.
Score at 1-1/2, 5-1/4, 6-3/4 & 10-1/2
Cut strips for your inserts, as many as you wish.
I used two 4-3/4" x 1/2" strips scored at 1/2 & 4-1/4
The lines in the example above are just to show the score lines.
Optional: cut the tabs at a slight angle (one tab on the large piece, two tabs on the strips).
Rear trees: Start with 4-1/4" x 3-3/4" cardstock (the width of the box is 3-3/4 so this is the width of the scene pieces). Cut the trees, and trim a hair off the side if you need to get it to fit nicely. You might need to trim the bottom as well, to place the trees where you prefer. Remember the front can't be taller than 4-1/4" if you'd like the card to fit in an A2 envelope. I adhered the background tree piece to the inside of the back of the box.
Cabin: Same procedure as the trees, finished width is a hair smaller than 3-3/4", place the height where you wish. Adhere to the front of the second strip in the box.
Snowbank: Cut a snowbank piece 3-3/4" wide, adhere to the front of the first strip in the box. I attached a reindeer from the Knit Sweater die set.
Adhere the trees to the front of the box next to the sentiment.
Optional: Add Wink of Stella to the snowbanks and top of the cabin.
Finished box size: 3-3/4 x 1-1/2 x 1-1/2
I hope this helps! I don't do many tutorials so please ask questions. :)
Stamps: Peaceful Cabin (sentiment)
Dies: Cabin dies, Knit Sweater (reindeer)
Thank you for stopping by!
Such a beauty! I love an all-white card - and this is a stunner. ♥
