InKing Royalty Blog Hop You Warm My Heart

Welcome to InKing Royalty's December Blog Hop! We have a fun Blog Hop theme today - Wrap it Up! The hop is filled with projects that are perfect for this time of year - everything from gift-packaging ideas to bundling up to stay warm. We are excited to share our creations with you today.  After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

What's warmer than a cable knit sweater. Even better, a cable knit sweater with a gift card bundled up inside!

It's been a while since I made a criss cross card. The hardest part is making the embossed (or patterned paper) panel insert. Can never get the angles right. I now cut the cardstock or patterned paper the same size as the base card, then cut on the diagonal and shave 1/8" or 1/4" off the diagonal side. The sentiment is from Sheltering Tree. I masked "heart" so I could pop up a heart in the center.

The pull-up tab is made from the Pretty Label punch.

Finally, I made a shallow pocket at the bottom and rounded the corners.

Editing to add some measurements. Base: two 9 x 5-1/4, scored at 4-1/2, adhered together in the center. Cut the ends diagonally in opposite directions (see linked Splitcoast tutorial). The insert is 4-3/8 x 4-3/4. Tutorial here.

Stampin' Up! supplies:
   Stamps: Sheltering Tree
   Paper: Cherry Cobbler cardstock
Misc: Cable Knit Dynamic embossing folder, Pretty Label punch

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you'll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Jackie Beers at Blue Line Stamping . There's lots of inspiration to be found in this group - and you don't want to miss it!
