Birthday cards are my favorite to send. Besides family and friends, it's fun to also remember people who make your life more enjoyable. I made a card for Shannon Drayer, our Mariners clubhouse reporter. Baseball fans think hers must be a dream job, to get to hang out with the ball players we love and admire. In truth, she spends countless hours researching, not to mention the hundreds of hours traveling. When the team is doing badly she has to remain positive. We are lucky in Seattle to have such amazing sports reporters! She invited me into the broadcast booth this past spring training. That was amazing!
This is a very un-baseball card! Wanted to make something pretty and feminine since she's surrounded by so much testosterone most of the time, lol!
The sentiment is from Label Me Pretty, and the flowers are from Beautiful Promenade. The DSP is Petal Promenade. Gorgeous paper! Must stock up on this DSP. Although the stamp set is a carry over, the DSP will be discontinued in the upcoming new catalog. The touches of vellum are cut from the Foliage Frame framelits. Oh, and of course the Rectangle Stitched framelits!
Added Wink of Stella to the flowers, and a few iridescent pink sequins.
